BIOSPECIMENS Blood samples
BIOSPECIMENS

BIOMEDICA CRO offers a full range of blood-based biospecimens from patients with various medical conditions and healthy donors.

Blood is collected from consented donors under IRB-approved protocols, in line with our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). We may initiate prospective collection according to your specific requirements and inclusion and/or exclusion criteria.

Our laboratory specialists adapt processing protocols to meet your project-specific requirements. BIOMEDICA CRO ensures that blood specimens are provided only from viral-negative subjects. Please contact our team for more details regarding our testing standards.

Our sample range includes but is not limited to: whole blood, plasma, double-spun plasma, serum, red blood cells, buffy coat, and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs).

The maximum volume of whole blood is 40–50 mL per subject per blood draw. Ideally, 50 mL of whole blood can be processed into approximately 20–25 mL of plasma or 15–20 mL of serum. However, diseased patients may donate lower volumes depending on their health condition. We are always happy to provide the maximum possible volume to best support your research needs.
